On February 27-March 1, 2009, Blackland Prairie District held their first annual Camporee.  The theme of this Camporee was around cooking, so it was called Cook-O-Ree.

There were 40MPH winds that started Friday night and did not end until very late Saturday.  The temperature was in the low 40s, with th ewind chill bringing it down further.  The wind was also wreaking havoc on the entire camping area, with tents being blown flat and all kinds of personal belonging getting blown around.
